Yesterday, I finally took time off to visit the doctor and subsequently the dentist to resolve this persistent swollen gum issue that has been bugging me for a month. This was of course after much persuasion from the boyf and alittle nagging from the big sis.
I just hate seeing doctors, must be some childhood experience that secretly haunts me till now.
I thought it was just the usual heatiness and it will go away eventually. Well, it turns out to be much worse than expected. Periodontitis. Apparently, there is so much bone loss (irreversible) in one of my tooth - and I might not be able to keep it. like wtf, almost like history repeating itself just that it is a difficult cause. And if it is not bad enough, it seems more than that since I am experiencing in another tooth.
Seriously, effort does not yield results. I always think that I am pretty diligent with my cleansing every morning and night and regular scaling once every 6 months. So maybe what I lack is luck because my body just seems to really hate plague compared to normal beings - such that the rate of damage inflicted is lighting speed.
My sis casually asked when was the time i lost my first adult tooth, and thankfully for this blog which i used to blog about every single thing - i managed to locate the entry and it was Nov 2007. I was still thinking it was only like 4 years back - time freaking flies!!!
So well, this entry is just for me to kind of keep a record of this. Facebook and other social media just seem well too exposed to be sharing this type of information for an introvert like me hoho.
Please pray for me to whatever God you believe in that I get to keep all my teeth and have minimal bone loss going forward puhlease. I will be so grateful. TYVM.
Oh and if this is not enough to make the day bad, this will.
I was eating home cooked macaroni in office yesterday and bit on something crunchy.
It was a weird texture so I spat it out and it was something black.
I did not want to jump into conclusion, so I poke and it and gave it a good examination.
Then I saw it, the unmistakable translucent wings of an insect on the hard shell and with SOME of its legs still attached to the body.
yes FML, it was a dead beetle and missing legs.
So well, I would think i deserve some pity now. Just alittle bit today will do, because I know I am still much luckier and healthier than maybe 70% of the people living on this planet.
