We finally settled the minor revamp for our bedroom @ IKEA.

Yes IKEA, because
1) it is where everything is, very convenient
2) we dont have time to go elsewhere and The Furniture Mall sucks
3) we are cheapos and we only need the furniture to last a few more years wahaha.

And so an additional wardrobe, sofa, cushions, clock, laptop tables along with assembly and transport cost us slightly over $1200++.
Cheap for so many stuff, but still *ouch* since now parents are not paying for us anymore. These are after all rather unnecessary as we just wanted our room to look less boring. We still have curtains to buy and maybe a new single bed to replace my current 4 year old loft bed.

It's so different now that you are completely responsible for your own expenses. We think through it more thoroughly and go more for value for money. This in relative to let's-get-it-since-we-like-it in the past! I remembered how we foolishly insisted on getting our current open-concept walk in wardrobe a few years ago that caused my dad $2.5K? Though we still love it very much, we are far too messy people to pull it off and sad to say for the past 2 years, we can no longer fit all our clothes into it. Hence, the need to get another one.

Boo, but this is very much necessary.

the thing i am most excited about is this:
my new red sofa with pretty floral motifs cushions!

Oh, sis and i amazingly moved this relatively gigantic sofa onto this trolley from the rack at the self-serve furniture by ourselves.

wahahaha i had to take off my frictionless-sole pumps so that i can stabilise the trolley while we "rolled" the sofa without sliding along with it.

people wonder why i am still sharing a room when we have enough rooms in our house. but given the fact that over the years we converted two rooms into store rooms for mum's junk and also i guess i am just used to having her around. yes, she is irritating annoying likes her space throws occasional tantrums but it is nice to have someone to gossip complain share stuff and have minor arguments. (: well, just in case we do quarrel, we bought a sofa that is longer so that we dont have to sit too near to each other when it happens. believe it or not, it is true.

anyway, had dinner @ kushinbo with hall 7 peeps since han ei is back! and it was really nice catching up (or should i say being around familiar people with their lame retarded and plain stupid jokes) with them. (:

YAY all in all, a great day apart from certain incidents on the road.

I am looking forward to a brighter NEATER room when all the newly bought clothes can be hung up instead of being kept in bags on the floor (: and cant wait for delivery to come on wednesday!

p.s sis disagrees with the phase "Rise determined, sleep satisfied". She is worn out from her long hours at work and is not having enough sleep this weekend.
