Went down to one of the factories for some prayers and lunch today.
And ended up helping out at the factory, doing 'cheap' labour along with all my funny uncles making hilarious comments or joking about the pay we will receive.
Auntie/Grandma: $5
JC/Poly/Sec/Pri: $10
Undergraduates/Graduates: $20
Uncle/Skilled worker: >20
For a moment, I felt that i was brought back to the past, 10 years back when we were all still lil' kids.
I remember how most of the cousins used to wake up early and head down to help out during holidays if there was a sudden big project or lack of manpower.
I remember how all the kids look forward to that sumptuous lunch of roti prata with mutton curry from the nearby canteen.
I remember how I like to play or sit around in my dad's office playing with all the latest torchlights and the toys that come with the packages.
I remember running around the office upstairs and bumped into my uncle's workdesk, having to rush down to the neaby clinic cos of that bleeding ear of mine.
never thought all these were that memorable, until today. (:
